Bartholomaus GmbH: a company portrait
Bartholomäus GmbH was founded in 1984 and continues to operate as a family-run company today. Instead of the converted cow shed, in which the first products were assembled, today there is a production building equipped with high tech with comprehensive storage facilities. From here, all of Europe is supplied with the company’s innovative products and solutions in the fields of ventilation and fire protection.
The brands gebavent and gebabrandschutz originated from the first letters of the first and last name of the company founder and owner Gert Bartholomäus. As managing director, he is still involved in the development and business activities of the company in an outstanding position. In the meantime, however, the successor generation in the form of the son Matthias Bartholomäus as sales manager and the son-in-law Stefan Fiderer as technical manager is also represented in the management. Thus the combination of tradition and modernity is given and the company values will continue in the future.
From the very beginning, the needs of the customers were the focus of Bartholomäus GmbH’s business activities. To this day, active contacts are maintained with engineering offices, specialist dealers and craft businesses in order to recognise the needs of the market and develop appropriate solutions. The dense network of commercial agencies in Germany plus one additional agency each in Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland corresponds to this. In addition, the products can also be found at all well-known specialist wholesalers in the German-speaking region.
From the own requirement and the close co-operation with the customers some innovative products developed in the course of the time like for example already 1993 the first maintenance-free ceiling bulkhead for ventilation systems after DIN 18017-3. With this ceiling bulkhead the development away from the fire-resistant installation shaft towards the ceiling bulkhead principle was initiated. In the following period, the fire protection revision end cover was developed as a combination of an approved shut-off device
and inspection cover and the fire protection valve with cold smoke barrier for ventilation systems in accordance with DIN 18017-3 further pioneering products. And that is by no means the end of the list.
